Rosewood has served industries where products require specific treatment or bespoke methods of packing. Some examples are packing products that may be shock and vibration sensitive, products in clean-room conditions, or applying timber battening to immobilise deep sea umbilical cable reels.
Inner packaging can complement outer packaging in order to maximise product protection. The inner materials can be used to secure a product, to protect surfaces and to prevent damage from moisture and climatic conditions. There are many types available including, for example:
Some materials can be dual purpose. Part of the range of VCI paper, for example, not only serves as an anti-corrosion material but can also protect products from abrasion damage.
Rosewood’s packers are familiar with the standard range of shipping containers and methods of loading and bracing techniques. As well as supplying the more traditional methods of load securement such as timber and strapping, we can also supply container airbags.
In accordance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) directives, we can undertake the packing of a wide range of hazardous goods including paint, thinners and oil in preparation for transport by air. Rosewood can supply plywood cases and IATA 4 GV boxes that meet the UN criteria for packing and distributing hazardous goods. Rosewood also supplies vermiculite, a highly absorbent and fireproof loosefill material that can retain leaks from packed materials.
