Rosewood’s pure kraft paper is produced from 100% virgin fibres that originate from sustainable forest sources. To manufacture pure kraft, trees are ground into small chips that are treated with chemicals to break them down into cellulose fibres. The fibres are diluted with water and sprayed into a paper machine. Using a process of gravity, suction, pressure and heat, paper is formed and compacted into a continuous web before being wound onto large reels for further processing. The final product contains no chemicals that require COSHH declaration and the paper’s average moisture content is 7%.

Rosewood supplies pure kraft rolls and sheets in a range of popular sizes and in two different weights: 70gsm for light to medium applications and 90gsm for medium to heavy grade applications where a higher tear and burst strength is required.

Pure kraft is suitable for a range of packaging applications including direct food contact. Its high strength and low weight properties make it economical to use and to post.
