    Pallets

A pallet is the globally accepted method of facilitating the mechanical handling and transporting goods. They are indispensable for warehouse operations and can provide stackable loads with added rigidity and protection. Due to advances in technology and growing environmental considerations, there are now many different materials that are used to manufacture one trip and reusable pallets.

Traditional Timber Pallets

Rosewood has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing traditional 2 and 4 way entry timber pallets. We focus on a responsive production of both standard pallets and specialist pallets that incorporate structural variances. This can include, for example, closed and open top decks, semi or full perimeter bases, reversible and non-reversible decks, chamfered boards to assist forklift entry and stenciling or branding

We can also accommodate specific characteristics such as manufacturing pallets with timber that has set moisture content or pallets that are designed to be used in a clean environment. Another of our specialist areas is the production of pallets for narrow-aisle and drive-in warehouse racking systems, where high performance wood grades may be required to support high weight products.

Where the nature of a load changes, we can review a customer’s pallet usage. This may result in a modification of a pallet’s specifications or a recommendation for a customer to change to an Inka presswood or corrugated pallet where cost savings, without compromising performance, can be achieved.

Inka Presswood Pallets

Rosewood is a distributor of Inka Presswood pallets and, following the widespread adoption of ISPM15 standards, there has been a surge in demand for the product. Due to intense heat and pressure created during the moulding process, the pallets are classified as manufactured/processed particle board. As a result, the product is readily ISPM15 compliant.Eco pallet

The robust pallets can carry (depending upon the pallet design), from 250kg to 1250kg of product weight. Rounded corners improve the performance of shrink & stretch wrap where it is applied for load securement. A further benefit is they weigh significantly less than timber pallets which can lower freight costs and assist the movement of palletised goods. Furthermore, a nestable design enables a significant saving on warehouse space.

In summary, the Inka Presswood Pallet is a cost-effective, ISPM15 compliant, light-weight, space-saving alternative to its traditional timber counterparts.
