Rosewood Board Expands
Rosewood has experienced significant growth over the last 10 years and in particular, over the last 5 years when the business has grown both organically and by acquisitions in the North East and in Cumbernauld, Scotland. As a result, Stephen Lord, Group Managing Director, John Lord, Group Sales Director and Martin Preston, Group Finance Director created a new position to broaden the Board’s skills base and in recognition of the significant contribution that Paul has made to Rosewood.
Paul was Managing Director at the Gateshead site for 17 years. He was responsible for the success of the business which experienced several changes in ownership, including its acquisition by Rosewood in June 2007. As Group Operations Director, Paul takes on responsibility for the management of all corrugated and timber packaging production at Gateshead, North Shields and Cumbernauld.
Commenting on the new appointment, Stephen Lord, Group Managing Director said, “John, Martin and I are delighted to welcome Paul onto the Board. He has demonstrated a high level of commitment to Rosewood and his loyalty, business skills and valuable industry experience will be an asset to our decision making and strategic planning for the business.”
Rosewood Packaging was first established in 1953 and it is now a vibrant, leading member of the packaging industry. The company employs over 150 staff across sites in the North East of England and Cumbernauld.
