Rosewood Celebrates 50 Years of Business!

Rosewood Packaging, one of the north-east’s leading providers of packaging solutions, celebrated a milestone 50th birthday on Wednesday 10th December. The company employs 50 people at its two factories on the Bede Industrial Estate, Jarrow.

Rosewood’s staff have had a lot to celebrate in its milestone year of business which has seen a new corporate image, a bigger range of products on offer, new job opportunities and capital investments to help the company keep pace with customer demand.

Rosewood specialises in the design and manufacture of timber and cardboard packaging. This includes timber crates, packing cases and pallets and a wide range of corrugated products from standard brown cartons to bespoke corrugated packaging solutions. It supplies an extensive range of complementary packaging materials. An exciting new development for next year, is that Rosewood will provide a range of environmentally-friendly products that will give its customers an alternative choice to traditional industrial packaging.

Rosewood Sales Director, John Lord said, “It isn’t often that you hear about companies celebrating 50 years and we take a great deal of pride in what Rosewood has achieved. We have made a strategic push to set out our stall for 2004 and beyond so that we can continue to increase business growth.”
