Hazardous Packing

Rosewood has the flexibility to arrange rapid packing of hazardous goods whilst adhering to Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) in respect of transportation by road, sea and air. Contracts that we have been awarded have covered consignments of trial components for prototype cars (such as the air bag mechanism) to extensive packing projects for manufacturers of industrial paints.

Hazardous goods are identified by a UN symbol that represents their classification e.g. Class 3 - Flammable Liquids, Class 4 - Flammable Solids, Class 8 - Corrosives.  The symbol is required to be displayed on an external package such as UN approved IATA (International Air Transport Association) certified 4GV boxes. These boxes are stocked by Rosewood and can be used for air freight packing. We also supply fireproof and highly absorbent Vermiculite loosefill and strong filament tape for securing cartons. Further details can be found in our Packaging Materials and Cardboard Packaging catalogues.
