Corrugated paper comprises of a single-faced smooth liner and a fluted paper, both of which are 85 gsm (plus or minus 5%) in weight. The flutes are 3.2-3.9mm high and there are approximately 130 flutes per metre length. The smooth and fluted papers are bonded with a maize starch adhesive and the paper’s moisture level is 6-8% subject to the immediate atmospheric conditions.
One of the most widely used packaging materials, corrugated paper is versatile and economical. Rosewood’s paper is easy to use off the roll and offers durable protection for a wide range of applications. It can be used for wrapping delicate products such as light bulbs and light fittings before they are added to outer cases and it can also be used as case and carton lining.
Corrugated paper protects the edges and corners of goods from impact damage and it can be used as interleaving between individual products and layers of products. In addition, the paper can interleave palletised goods that are secured with stretch or shrink film to increase stability of the load.
