Bates Cargo-Pak™ airbags provide an excellent securement solution and reduce the risk of damage to products caused by movement during transportation. The airbags are manufactured from cross-woven Scandinavian Korsnas DFDC paper that has achieved a Guinness World Record™ for being the strongest paper in the world. Cargo-Pak™ airbags are more effective and substantially quicker to apply than traditional timber battening used for container packing.
Rosewood supplies Light Flex, Medium and Heavy airbags that can withstand varying levels of pressure. The bags consist of two layers of paper (three for Heavy) and, internally, three layers of PE quality film. The maximum load that the airbags can secure will depend upon the size of the airbag and the space between the goods. The airbags can withstand up to 80% relative humidity at 40°C.

The bags are fitted with a highly effective patented valve that ensures both quick inflation and deflation. The valve is sealed by ultrasound that ensures no air escapes from the inflated bag. The empty airbag is positioned in the gaps between the goods and inflated through the valve with compressed air. Rosewood can supply an inflator gun, free of charge, to our customers. The paper’s high friction value means that the inflated airbags will remain firmly in place during transportation. The bags also have a high wet strength.
The paper, film and valve components are all 100% recyclable and the Medium and Heavy airbags can be reused. The airbags are lightweight and supplied in easy to manage cartons of 30.
